Disinfectants

Here are our disinfectant products

Ultra 1-Step

Broilers and Hatchery Sanitation

Thoroughly clean the hatchery environment setters, hatchers, floors, chick-go-rounds, vaccinators, etc. before you apply Ultra 1-Step . Remove organic material fluff, blood, shells, excrement and dirt prior to the application Ultra 1-Step.

Although Ultra 1-Step is effective in the presence of organic matter, the effective removal of all organic material should be the hatchery manager's top priority.

Remove all hatchery debris, clean the surfaces, and then disinfect. In other words, you should not try to disinfect dirt. Remove by sweeping, spraying with water, or vacuuming.

Ultra 1-Step contains detergent and may be dispensed from a high pressure sprayer, but heavily soiled areas should be prescru bed.

After the surface is clean, apply disinfectant. Here is where the hatchery manager must begin to make the critical decisions regarding which product to use.

Ultra 1-Step is best used in acid environments (pH 3-5). Iodine is effective against gram positive and gram negative bacteria and fungi.

UltraDyne-C

Ultradyne-C Food Preservation Experiments

In order to reduce the serious losses which constantly occur during the storage and transport of fruits and vegetables, due to the growth of mould and fungi, Ultrateck

SA de CV from our Mexican Division developed methods of applying UltraDyne to fruits and vegetables to study its effects.

Please Note: The ingredients in both of our new UltraDyne A and C are classed as food and feed grade, complexed with organic plant extracts of natural origin combined with citric acid to provide a high level of free soluble active iodine, that is safe and effective, virtually non staining, based on a patent pending process.

A final rinse water solution was prepared using UltraDyne-C at rates ranging from 1/2 to 1 part UltraDyne to 1000 parts water. These solutions were applied in the final rinse water prior to packaging to various fruits and vegetables as a disinfectant to prevent spoilage and prolong shelf-life,

The various tests showed that the treated fruits and vegetables greatly retarded the growth of mould and fungi responsible for fruit and vegetable spoilage. There was • no damage or impairing in the appearance or flavor of the treated foods, even when " high doses of up to 6 parts UltraDyne-C with 1000 parts water were used.

Tests conducted for possible residues clearly showed no toxic residues related toUltraDyne's ingredients, on / or in the fruits and vegetables tested.

It should be noted that chlorine products have shown to be non effective in these applications due to their inability to function in high organic soil loads, not to mention their suspected toxicity and environmental effects.

UltraDyne-C Soil Disinfection Experiments

UltraDyne-C is definitely fungicidal in its organic complexed form. For example UltraDyne-C when applied at a rate equal to 10 to 15 liters per/ha with 200 liters of water, at a ph of 5.5 was found to be a very effective soil disinfectant.

When the above solution and solutions of up to 20 liters per/ha were applied five to ten days prior to seeding, the effects are very visible. There is far more emergence of seedlings in the treated soil. The growth is was much more vigorous than either the formaldehyde or autoclaved controls.
